David Uhl

Bass/Upright Bass

David, who lives in West Hartford, Connecticut after growing up in Huntington, New York, has been studying the bass for eleven years. He began with classical double bass in elementary school, and has moved onto play both double bass and electric bass in a multitude of styles. His professional experiences includes everything from playing with professional orchestras to steel drum groups, pit orchestras and jazz groups and even Celtic Folk music.

David has studied the electric bass and the double bass with many great bassists including Anthony Pinelli, Nat Reeves, and Robert Black and just graduated, Summa Cum Laude, from the Hartt School of Music this past May with a degree in Bass Performance. The versatility he is able to display in his music translates smoothly to his talents as a teacher of all styles. David is excited to pass on the knowledge that he has gained over the past eleven years to a new generation of young musicians.
